Gail Shaw is a senior consultant with Xpertease, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She specialises in database performance tuning and database recovery, with a particular focus on indexing strategies
Gail is a SQL Server MVP and is a frequent poster on both the SQL Server Central and SQLTeam forums and writes articles for both SQLServerCentral and Simple-Talk. She has spoken at TechEd Africa, the 24 Hours of PASS web event and at the PASS Community summit on multiple occasions and she was ranked 7th overall at the Pass Community Summit in 2009 for her presentation on statistics
Gail is an Aikido Shodan (1st degree black belt) an avid archer and in her copious spare time is perusing a Masters degree in Computer Science at the University of South Africa
